Our TD scorer picks in NFL Week 7 went an incredible 8-3, including a +240 odds win with Dallas Goedert of the Eagles on Sunday Night Football, so let’s aim for a similar success on SNF this week.

The matchup between the Chargers and Bears holds a certain fascination in the sense that anything could happen in a meeting of two of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL. Touchdowns can still be scored whoever is playing, though, and it’s our job to identify who will score them.

Be sure to also check out our other NFL Week 8 picks, but now let’s take a look at my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for the Bears vs Chargers game.

Keenan Allen, WR, LAC (+115 at FanDuel)

We’ve got one ‘safe’ pick and something of a wild-card choice for this game, so let’s start with the more likely option in Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen. Josh Palmer is often the guy on the Chargers to target for some value on wide receiver props, but he and tight end Gerald Everett have both been dealing with injuries this week, meaning the Chargers may rely on WR1 Keenan Allen even more than usual as we still haven’t seem much from rookie Quentin Johnston. Allen is available at plus-money too, which is not the case with running back Austin Ekeler.

Allen leads the teams in targets, receptions, receiving yards and TDs and this is game which the Chargers should really be aiming to put quite a few scores on the board, so there’s a good chance Allen will connect with a pass from Justin Herbert in the end zone at SoFi Stadium.

Tyson Bagent, QB, CHI (+550 at FanDuel)

Tyson Bagent was an unknown even around the NFL a month ago, but now pretty much everyone knows he went to D2 Shepherd University and that his dad was an arm-wrestling champion. After last week, we also know that he performed better than anyone could have expected in his NFL debut as an undrafted rookie as he led the Bears to a 30-12 win over the Raiders.

It’s hard to envisage Bagent having such a good game again, but as well as completing a tidy 21 of 29 pass attempts for 1 TD and an impressive 0 interceptions, he also showcased some mobility, gaining 24 yards on 3 rushes. The Chargers have already given up 3 rushing scores to opposing QBs this season and Bagent looks like he has the wheels to run one in if the Bears can get close to the goal-line. At +550 odds, it’s certainly worth a ticket to find out.
