Friday signals the return of the NBA In-Season Tournament and with an 11-game slate coming our way I think it’s time we try our luck with yet another NBA mega parlay. We’ve already cashed one of these this week, so why not hit another as we head into the weekend? This time around, I’ve settled for a variety of bets for this parlay – one game total, one team on the money line and one spread pick. Be sure to read our NBA predictions for picks across all of tonight’s games, but for now, let’s get into our NBA mega parlay!

Bucks vs Hornets Over 235.5 (-110)

Pelicans ML (+145)

Suns -5.5 (-110)

NBA Parlay odds: +792

Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets Over 235.5 (-110)

Milwaukee has dominated the head-to-head meetings lately, winning 10 of the last 15 games, but they haven’t been as consistent as I would like them to be, so I’m opting to back the game total going over here. These teams rank 9th and 10th in pace, averaging 101.6 and 101.3 possessions per game. They are also 24th and 30th in defensive rating, with teams averaging 121.9 and 117.7 points per game against them.

The over has been cashing on a consistent basis for both sides – 14 times in the last 18 Bucks games and in 10 of their last 11 on the road. For the Hornets, this bet has landed 7 times in their last 8 games, including in 5 of their last 6 against Eastern Conference opponents. Both teams have been hit by the injury bug lately, so I don’t think we’ll see much physicality on the defensive end here. A total of 239, 247 and 236 points have been scored in 3 of the 4 most recent meetings, so I believe that backing the over is a really solid bet here.

New Orleans Pelicans ML over Denver Nuggets (+145)

Denver did win the first meeting of the season some 10 days ago, but they remain without Jamal Murray who is dealing with a hamstring injury. It is a deep roster, but at some point missing their 2nd player has to catch up with them. The three-ball has slipped a little over the last 3 games for the Nuggets – they’ve scored just 8, 9 and 11 of them during that stretch so maybe that’s something to keep an eye on here. So far this season, Denver has played 4 times on the road and covered the spread only once.

This will be a gut check for the Pelicans, who are 1-1 in the Group B standings of the In-Season Tournament. Things haven’t gone smoothly as of late, but at least the 5-game losing streak was snapped with a 131-110 win over Dallas a couple of nights ago. After seeing the defending champions score just 111, 104 and 108 points in their last 3 games, I feel like New Orleans isn’t without a chance here. The two teams split the 4 meetings last season, and I believe that the Pels can get revenge for the loss in the 1st meeting of this season.

Phoenix Suns -5.5 over Utah Jazz (-110)

This is basically a must-win situation for the Phoenix Suns if they want to keep their chances of advancing from Group A alive. They just destroyed the Minnesota Timberwolves 133-115 behind Kevin Durant’s 31 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Devin Booker also returned from injury and dropped 31, and when he and KD play together, the Suns are 10-1. Phoenix has dominated the head-to-head record against Utah recently with 10 wins in 12 games. They are outscoring the Jazz by 7.7 points over the 10 most recent meetings as well.

The Jazz come into this one after back-to-back wins by 16 and 8 points, but those were against Memphis and Portland which isn’t exactly all that impressive. Phoenix has already beaten Utah once this season by 22 points. In that loss for the Jazz, they committed 7 more turnovers and 5 fewer assists which ultimately cost them the game. I can’t see past the Suns here — they are in a much bigger need of a win in this one. The KD and Booker duo will likely be too much to handle for the Jazz. Go with Phoenix.
