Let’s break down each of these plays.
The Rays are projected to put right-hander Corey Kluber on the mound today. Kluber has pitched very well against the Yankees this year, as he’s faced them 4 times, going at least 6.0 innings in every start and only allowing 3 earned runs total. Because Kluber has had so much success against the Yankees, look for the Rays to keep the pressure on the AL East division race.

The Sun Devils’ defense looked impressive against Northern Arizona, but the Oklahoma State Cowboys’ offense is far more explosive. Senior quarterback Spencer Sanders was sensational last week, recording 6 touchdowns through the air and on the ground. The offense looked unstoppable, producing over 530 total yards. The offense should continue to be dangerous this year and I am not sure if this inexperienced Sun Devils defense can contain them. Oklahoma State is also 5-0 ATS off a straight up win against non-conference opponents. For that reason, backing the Cowboys to cover the spread will be the play.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been double-digit favorites in both of their games this season, which resulted in an outright loss and a 21-point win where they failed to cover the spread against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. They are favored by even more this week against a top end Sun Belt team that has plenty of playmakers and the ability to hang with teams of this caliber. The way Nebraska is playing right now, there is no way laying more than 3 scores is worth the risk. For that reason, backing the Georgia Southern Eagles to cover the spread looks to be well worth a play.
