Chicago White Sox's Tim Anderson smiles as he points to the dugout after hitting a double during the sixth inning of the team's baseball game against the Houston Astros in Chicago, Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Chicago White Sox first 5 innings run line -0.5 (-114)

Milwaukee Brewers first 5 innings run line -0.5 (+125)

Miami Marlins ML (+138)

Parlay odds: +905

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Chicago White Sox first 5 innings run line -0.5 (-114) over Boston Red Sox

To start off this mega parlay, we have the White Sox on the run line in the first 5 innings. While Chicago has been a disappointment in 2022, the White Sox may have found their mojo in a series win over the Yankees over the weekend. With a .360 batting average and 10 hits in his last 4 games, Tim Anderson continues to be one of the best hitters in baseball. And behind Anderson, the rest of the White Sox lineup has raised their level in recent games. Against Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta, Tuesday’s game presents a chance for Chicago to keep up their recent momentum.

The main reason why I prefer a first 5 innings wager in this one is the starting pitching matchup. Dylan Cease has some of the best stuff in the majors, and has already had great success against Boston this season. On the other side, Pivetta has been inconsistent and is running into a hot lineup on the road. Back the White Sox to establish an early lead and avoid worrying about any bullpen issues later on.

Milwaukee Brewers first 5 innings run line -0.5 (+125) over San Diego Padres

The second leg of this parlay has us backing the Milwaukee Brewers on the run line in the first 5 innings. Similar to my reasoning for the White Sox above, I think the clear advantage lies with the Brewers in this starting pitching matchup. While Blake Snell is getting the start for San Diego, the left-hander hardly has any experience on the mound this season. Milwaukee will counter with Corbin Burns, who has been excellent in 2022 and will undoubtedly be looking to improve on a subpar effort in his last outing. The Padres stole the opening game of this series in the 10th inning, and I expect a motivated effort from the Brewers on Tuesday.

Both lineups have been up-and-down of late, especially in the case of the Brewers. However, it might only take an early run or 2 from Milwaukee to cash this leg. As long as Burns gets off to an efficient start, I think the Brewers to win the first 5 innings has great value.

Miami Marlins ML (+138) over Tampa Bay Rays

To finish off this mega parlay, we have the Miami Marlins on the money line. While the 2022 season has been a struggle for the Marlins as a whole, Pablo Lopez remains a bright spot in the Miami rotation. With a 1.57 ERA and 48 strikeouts through 8 starts, Lopez is quietly pitching like one of the best in the game. The Marlins often win when Lopez gets the ball, and that spells trouble for the Tampa Bay Rays, whose team batting average and .OPS are below league average. Even with Shane McClanahan getting the start, it’s hard to envision the Rays putting up runs on the dominant Lopez. In a game that is projected to be a low-scoring affair, I’ll back the underdog to pull off the upset at Tropicana Field.
