Aaron Rodgers NFL underdog

You can check out our full game preview for tonight’s matchup, and to enhance the action, we are taking things a step further with a same game parlay at +678 odds.

Packers team total over 27.5 points (+102)

Packers -6.5 first-half spread (-110)

Aaron Rodgers 300+ passing yards (+230)

Parlay odds: +678

Let’s break down each leg one by one.

Packers team total over 27.5 points (+102)

It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers loves playing against the Bears. In 26 career games against Chicago, Rodgers has led Green Bay to a 21-5 record. He has thrown 57 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions in those games, and his QBR is a solid 107.7. In their meeting on October 17 in Chicago, Rodgers threw for only 195 yards, but he tossed a pair of touchdowns and added a clutch rushing touchdown late in the game. The Packers scored 24 points in that game, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Rodgers led Green Bay to a better offensive day in this one.

The Packers are coming off a bye, so they have had an extra week to prepare. The Green Bay offense was cruising before the bye, as they put up 31 and 36 points in their last 2 games before having a week off. Chicago’s defense can be tough at times, but they have generally been stronger against weaker teams, and have struggled against tougher teams. The Bears gave up 34 points to the Rams, 38 to the Buccaneers, 33 to the 49ers, and 33 to the Cardinals last week. Things won’t get any easier going up against Rodgers and company coming off a bye. Look for the Packers to have a big offensive night.

Packers -6.5 first half spread (-110)

The Green Bay Packers love playing at home. They are 5-0 SU and 5-0 ATS at Lambeau Field this season, and they have generally been great in the first half. In their last 13 home games going back to last season, the Packers have outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 points. They have led at halftime in all but 2 of those games. Coming off a bye, they should be ready to roll from the opening kickoff. In last year’s meeting between these teams at Lambeau, the Packers were up by 17 points at halftime. Look for Green Bay to put together a strong first half.

Aaron Rodgers 300+ passing yards (+230)

If you’re sensing a theme, we are looking for the Packers to roll in this one. Rodgers has been excellent against the Bears throughout his career, and now he faces them at home coming off a bye. Rodgers has led the Packers to the 9th-best passing offense so far this season (248.3 yards per game), and the offense appears to be clicking. Rodgers has thrown for 300+ yards 3 times this season, including in each of his last 2 games. It also helps that he will not have to worry about Khalil Mack. Mack underwent season-ending foot surgery 3 weeks ago, and his absence is big. All in all, this could be shaping up to be a big night for Rodgers and the Packers.
