One of the biggest games on Tuesday’s MLB slate comes in the Bronx, where the San Diego Padres will take on the New York Yankees in a massive interleague matchup between a pair of interleague hopefuls. Fresh off a wild 8th inning comeback to steal the opening game of this series, the Padres have now won 6 straight games, and are sitting just a half-game back of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. On the other side, New York still sits atop the AL East standings at 19-16, but it has gone just 4-6 over the last 10 games and has lost lost 5 out of the last 7 in particular.

To add a little more excitement to this matchup, I have pieced together my Padres vs Yankees Same Game Parlay picks at +615 odds. You can also get predictions on the side and total for Tuesday’s big matchups on our MLB picks page, but for now let’s break down our SGP for this interleague matchup.

Under 8 (+100)

Michael King over 6.5 strikeouts (+130)

Trent Grisham to record a hit (+105)

Padres vs Yankees Same Game Parlay odds: +615

Under 8 (+100)

The starting pitching matchup in this game immediately points me in the direction of this under to start off our Same Game Parlay. Padres starter Michael King has plenty of experience pitching in the Bronx (career ERA under 3.00 at Yankee Stadium), and he should be able to draw on that experience in this matchup against a struggling New York lineup. As for the hosts, Clarke Schmidt’s numbers don’t look all that great on paper, but his 3.54 xERA, whiff rate and expected batting average metrics show that he’s due for a bit of positive regression in the coming outings. All things considered, I’ll gladly back the under while we’re getting plus-money on it.

Michael King over 6.5 strikeouts (+105)

King is in the midst of a tremendous 2025 campaign to this point, having posted a 2.09 ERA with a whopping 46 strikeouts in just over 38 innings pitched through the opening month of the season. With the Yankees lineup battling through a couple of injuries and not having much experience against King, I don’t see much of a roadblock for the Padres starter to carve up a lineup that has been pretty unreliable, outside of the stellar season we’re seeing from Aaron Judge. King has cleared this number in 4 of his last 6 outings, and the Yankees are more than happy to strike out of late, having just struck out 10 times in Monday’s loss.

Trent Grisham to record a hit (-130)

To wrap up our Padres vs Yankees Same Game Parlay, I’m looking at Trent Grisham to record a hit for the 8th time in the last 10 games. Grisham has been a saving grace in the Yankees lineup, as he’s currently batting .298 with 25 hits to just 18 strikeouts and a whopping 9 home runs for a player that doesn’t often showcase that kind of power. While King presents a difficult matchup, Grisham will likely be in the leadoff spot once again, which makes him a likely candidate to get 5 at-bats, giving us a number of bites at the apple for this prop to cash.
