Since graduating from Davidson (The College That Stephen Curry Built), I have been writing about sports -- just about any and all you can think of! -- and coaching tennis in Atlanta, GA. Beyond the four major sports, I am an avid tennis fan and cover the ATP Tour on a daily basis. If I'm not busy writing, you can generally find me on a tennis court or traveling the world wherever a sporting event takes me. For Ricky Dimon media enquiries, please email contact@pickswise.com.

Although football season is still a couple of months away, it is one of the busiest times of the year in the world of sports. The Stanley Cup Finals are underway, the NBA playoffs are coming down the stretch, Major League Baseball is separating the contenders from the pretenders, golf and tennis majors are taking place fast and furiously, and Euro 2020 is in the knockout rounds.

In other words, it is a good time to be sharp on your sports betting — and that is exactly what Pickswise is doing! We have been especially in the NBA and MLB departments. Let’s recap some of the recent success.

Red hot on NBA game totals

The NBA playoffs have not been the easiest to handicap with star players going down left and right, leaving the majority of teams — both already eliminated and still alive — at less than full strength. Nonetheless, Pickswise handicappers are locked in on game totals in a big way. You could say we are “in the zone,” kind of like Milwaukee Bucks’ small forward Khris Middleton was in the fourth quarter of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks.

Speaking of the Bucks-Hawks series, we hit the under in Game 4 on Tuesday and that brought our successful game totals bet streak to six in a row. That’s right; we have hit three straight in each of the two conference finals. In the West, the last three games between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers have been Under, Under, Over, and we have nailed all three.

We are rolling with the under in Game 6 on Wednesday.

Pounding the MLB parlays

While our NBA game totals have been red hot, our MLB parlays have been on fire.

In four of the last six days we have cashed either a standard parlay or a mega parlay. Two of those four paid out at better than +500 odds.

In five of the last six days, we have cashed either a traditional parlay or a same game parlay. The same game parlay success came on Sunday, when the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Chicago Cubs 7-1. We had the Dodgers on an alternate -2.5 run line and the Over 7.5, while Clayton Kershaw recording at least nine strikeouts also hit (he mowed down 13 batters in 8.0 innings of work). That parlay paid out at +1025.
