The second round of the NCAA Tournament rolls on and the upsets just keep on coming.
After I successfully predicted the Abilene Christian and Ohio upsets over Texas and Virginia, I continued my hot streak by once again picking Oral Roberts to get the job done against Florida last night — and they didn’t disappoint!
I’m still right at the top of the leaderboard in the Pickswise $10,000 Capper Contest and I’m hoping for some more winning picks today to ensure that’s exactly where I stay.
Let’s dive into my picks for today’s eight second-round matchups, but make sure you check out the Pickswise team’s picks on the side and total for every game throughout the tournament.
Ohio defeating Virginia has given them the confidence they needed to move forward.
This game will be a great matchup between two guards that I love watching (Jason Preston vs. Marcus Zegarowski). Creighton plays a space-and-operate type of style which makes it hard to close in on shooters. Ohio plays a lot of high-ball screen and DHO (dribble hand-off) sets that will allow Preston to target his teammates.
Execution will be key. Ohio rolls in a close one.

If there is ever any time to catch a wounded wolverine, now is the time.
LSU is starting to click right when it matters most and this could be a tall order for Michigan to hold off. I love Coach Howard and his staff so much that it pains me to say that LSU will prevail, possibly in an overtime type of thriller. I believe the Tigers will advance.
