Welcome to another wonderful Wednesday of sport. Today we have another huge Stanley Cup hockey game, a big MLB slate and thoughts are turning to the NBA Draft tomorrow night. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Close contests on the diamonds
Tuesday’s sports slate was all about baseball and the MLB’s finest delivered a bunch of close contests, with 7 of the 15 games decided by a single run, including 4 that went into extra innings. Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers became the first pitcher to reach 9 wins this season in his team’s 8-2 win over the Reds, while the 50-win Yankees lost for only the 18th time as Isaac Paredes hit 3 home runs in a 5-4 home win for the Rays. It was a rare day when both New York teams lost as the Mets went down 8-2 to the Astros, while the Royals overcame the Angels 12-11 in the 11th despite allowing a pair of 3-run homers to Shohei Ohtani.

Today’s Slate

Full slate of MLB games

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies ML vs Texas Rangers
4:05 pm ET

Philadelphia has been greatly improved since firing manager Joe Girardi. Starter Zach Wheeler is having a great month of June with just 3 runs allowed over 3 starts. He has become one of the best pitchers in the league and the Phillies are an easy team to get behind with Wheeler on the mound. Facing an NL team takes away any unfamiliarity advantage for Texas starter Jon Gray, too. Take Philadelphia. Read our full game preview for Phillies vs Rangers.
