Welcome to another wonderful Wednesday of sports. Today we have NBA and NHL to entertain us, with the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 now just one day away! Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

NBA Best Bet cashes and Magic upset Warriors
It was a small slate in the NBA on Tuesday with only 4 games, but the Pickswise handicappers went 3-1 on the sides and cashed our only 3-star play of under 234.5 in the Bulls vs Bucks game, which ended 126-98 to the Bucks. We were wise to the upset of the day, too, taking the Magic +8 before they beat the Warriors straight up by 94-90.

Strong night in the NHL
The larger 11-game Tuesday slate in the NHL proved no problem for Team Pickswise, either, as we went 7-4 on sides and 7-3-1 on totals. Two notable results saw the Devils upsetting the Rangers 7-4 and the Sharks beating the Flames 4-3.

Today’s Slate

Big slate in the NBA
We have a nice 11-game slate in the NBA today, including an ESPN doubleheader of Nets vs Grizzlies at 7:30 pm ET, and 76ers vs Lakers at 10:00 pm ET. Read our picks for all today’s NBA games.

TNT doubleheader in NHL
It’s a quieter day in the NHL with only 4 games, but TNT is showing Penguins vs Sabres at 7:30 pm ET and Blackhawks vs Ducks at 10:00 pm ET. Read today’s NHL picks.

There’s golf and tennis too
Golf goes head-to-head this week, with the WGC-Dell Technologies World Match Play starting this morning. Check out our picks for the tournament. The Miami Open tennis has a different look this year with some big names missing, so find out who our expert likes to lift the trophy.

Best Bet of the Day

Miami Heat -6.5 vs Golden State Warriors
7:30 pm ET

Life without Stephen Curry looks a lot tougher than the Golden State Warriors had hoped it would be. Last night they managed to put up just 90 points against one of the worst teams in the NBA, the Orlando Magic, losing by 4 points on the road. The Warriors have won just once in their last 6 road games. Miami didn’t inspire a ton of confidence either when losing to a 76ers team without Joel Embiid and James Harden, but this is a good opportunity for the Heat to bounce back. They’ve covered in 5 of their last 6 home games and the Warriors haven’t been great on the road, covering in just 15 of 34 games. Take the home team to cover. Read our full game preview for Warriors vs Heat.

Must-watch

You won’t want to miss today’s edition of our daily sports betting show Let’s Bet It! at 10:00 am ET on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/c/Pickswise.

Lauren Jbara and Alex Glaze are your hosts today, and they’ll be joined by NBA champion Brian Scalabrine to talk about the Nuggets, the Grizzlies, the injuries to Zion Williamson and Damian Lillard, and give out their picks for today’s slate.

In Tourney Talk, the team will debate whether the higher-seeded teams will sink or swim in the Sweet 16 and Alex will also be giving out his picks for Thursday and Friday’s games, before closing, as ever, with their Plays of the Day.
