Key Week 7 NFL Matchups To Watch

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans – Sunday 25th October, 1 p.m. ET

Somebodies ‘0’ has got to go – Only three teams remain undefeated heading into Week 7 and two of them face off here.

The match, originally scheduled for Week 4 was postponed due to positive Covid-19 tests in the Titans’ facility, but they’ve overcome adversity in real style. A rare Tuesday night football game saw the Titans scheduled to play twice in six days with little practice, yet they walked away with two wins and put up a mammoth 42 points against both the Bills and Texans. Derrick Henry had two monster performances himself, with 327 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns in that two-game span. The Steelers also come in hot after blowing out the Cleveland Browns, putting up back-to-back 38-point performances themselves. They’ll hope the heavy recently workload slows down Derrick Henry somewhat but this looks a mouthwatering contest between two of the NFL’s unbeaten teams.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles – Thursday 22nd October, 8:20 p.m. ET

A similarly intriguing matchup, but this time for all the wrong reasons. The NFC East through six weeks has unequivocally been the worst division in the NFL, with A combined record of 5-18-1 led by the 2-4 Dallas Cowboys. That just heightens the importance of the divisional games, and a win on Thursday Night Football can see the Philadelphia Eagles go top of the division following Dallas’ embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. The Eagles have been hit with more injury woes, with Miles Sanders missing the game, adding to the likes of Zack Ertz, Dallas Goedert Desean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery and  Jaelon Reagor who all have injury designations. And that’s just the offense. The Giants are fresh off their first win this season, which came against another NFC East opponent in the Washington Football Team, so let’s not get carried away just yet. It may not be the prettiest game of football this week, but it could prove to be one of the more important ones.
