NFL Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns expert predictions

The Ravens have stuttered in recent weeks, both with and without Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Things could be about to come crashing down for Baltimore as they face a fired up Cleveland team with Watson looking to prove that he is the guy that can lead the Browns to the promised land. Divisional games always add a little extra motivation, and we might just see that from the Browns, who are fighting to keep their slim postseason hopes alive.

Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns expert picks

We’ve got 2 standout NFL picks for the clash between the Ravens and Browns.

Ravens vs Browns point spread pick: Browns -2.5 (-115)

It says something that a 5-8 team is favored against a 9-4 team. Much of that has to do with the Ravens’ uncertainty at QB. We know Lamar Jackson is unlikely to play. We aren’t 100% clear on back-up Tyler Huntley’s status as of mid-week yet either. Regardless, the Ravens’ offense has struggled as of late failing to score more than 16 points in three of their last four games.

The weather could be a factor as high winds are expected. This favors Cleveland statistically as the Browns have the second-best rush defense at home this year allowing just 73 yards per game to opponents. Offensively, Browns QB Deshaun Watson has only managed 1 offensive TD since his return, but he’s looking a little sharper each game. This is a rivalry game no matter who is playing and I’m not sure the Ravens can keep squeaking out wins much longer. As long as this number is at 3 or less, I can back Cleveland at home.

Ravens vs Browns Over/Under totals pick: Under 37 (-110)

It’s December in Cleveland, and the AFC North battles are always physical. The Ravens’ offense hasn’t looked much like expected as of late. And with uncertainty as of mid-week who is playing quarterback for them, this total has plummeted from the opening of 42 through the key number of 38 and has settled at 37. Both of these teams will be run heavy with high winds expected in the forecast.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson still looks rusty through his first two starts, and he’s only been able to generate one offensive touchdown since returning to the starting role. The trends favor the under between these two teams as the under has hit in four of the last six meeting.
