Pressure is building up on the Heat as they try to close out the Celtics in Game 6 on Saturday in South Beach. Boston has successfully avoided elimination for 2 games in a row now, if they push this to a Game 7, the likelihood of the Heat winning this series won’t be high. I’ve prepared a first-basket scorer prediction for Saturday’s game, which is available below.

After a slow start on opening tips and the Celtics winning the ball in the first 3 games, Bam Adebayo has stepped up and won the jump ball for the Heat in the last 2 games. Ironically though, the Celtics opened the scoring in both of those games, so I’m counting on Miami to turn things around in Game 6. I’m targeting Bam Adebayo to open the scoring here since he has already scored the first basket for his team on 3 occasions in this series in Games 1, 2 and 5. Getting him going early could potentially push Miami towards a win here, as when he scores 20 or more points in a game they are undefeated in the postseason. As far as trends go – 30% of Miami’s first team field goals were made by players at the Center position, while the Celtics defense has allowed that same position to score 29% of opposing first baskets against them. Bam might not have the three-point range, but he is a threat from up close and can hit his free throws. We are getting really solid odds at +600 for him to open the scoring here.
