It’s Thursday and frankly, it’s time to gamble. One MLB player prop has my eye tonight and I already got down on it. We’re staying up late (the game is at 10:10pm ET) so there is that, but this move is for plus money so it’s worth it. Plus money bets are god’s gift to sports betting, so we should show a little appreciation and bet them when we find them.
It should be noted that I do like Kenta Maeda over 6.5 strikeouts at +110 on top of this one. He’s like a different guy since the All-Star break. Somebody is going to make him pee in a cup soon if he keeps up what he’s doing. Maeda has gone over this number in each of his three starts since the break so if you feel like going in a little earlier, you could do that. I’m not though.

DeSclafani has been smashed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in his career but the past is the past, people. The last time he went up against the Dodgers he fanned six of them like it was nothing. Over his last five starts he’s hit this number four times. The only time he didn’t was his last one where he whiffed four St. Louis Cardinals batters. Only three teams have struck out less than the Cardinals this season so maybe we don’t freak out about that one. Right?
The Dodgers are the Dodgers but they definitely strike out. Over their last 237 plate appearances they’ve been sat down 61 times. If you’re familiar with math, that’s almost 26% of the time. Yikes.
Walker Buehler is starting for Los Angeles tonight and he’s fanned at least once in each of his last seven starts. He pulled a hat-trick in his last start against the Colorado Rockies. That’s a free one if you ask me and it could turn into even more since Buehler usually goes deep into games. This is my favorite of all MLB player props tonight.
