Green Bay Packers: What will their 2020 record be?

Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones playing for Green Bay in the Divsional Round

The Green Bay Packers might have drafted for the future, but can quarterback Aaron Rodgers still prove he still has something in the tank heading into the 2020 season? Even without addressing the wide receiver position in the draft, Green Bay will still be a threat in the NFC. Especially with the powerful offensive line that should provide the necessary holes for Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, and A.J, Dillon.

Let’s see if the Packers can continue to stay at the top as Pickswise takes a look at each game-by-game and predicts the outcome for the Green Bay Packers this upcoming season.

Week 1: @ Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota was one of the best homes teams in 2019 and will continue in 2020. This division crown will not be an easy task for Green Bay this season. Loss

Week 2: vs. Detroit Lions

Two veteran quarterbacks going toe-to-toe. Luckily, Aaron Rodgers gets the upper hand and the victory. Win

Week 3: @ New Orleans Saints

A tough three-game schedule to start the season for Green Bay as they lose another tough one on the road against a playoff potential team. Loss

Week 4: vs. Atlanta Falcons

There is a very good chance Rodgers throws for five touchdowns against one of the worst secondaries in the league. Win

Week 5: BYE

Week 6: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Even with the extra week preparation, Rodgers loses to Brady once again. Can Rodgers pull it together down the road? Loss

Week 7: @ Houston Texans

It will take nearly half the season for the Packers to win their first road game. Win

Week 8: vs. Minnesota Vikings

Here comes Rodgers. After their first road win, Green Bay pulls it together for an impressive home win against Minnesota. Win

Week 9: @ San Francisco 49ers

After getting blown out twice last season, Rodgers continues his late MVP push with another impressive performance on the road against San Fran. Win

Week 10: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

There will be no Minshew Mania here as Aaron Jones runs over Jacksonville with ease. Win

Week 11: @ Indianapolis Colts

Let’s make it five in a row for Green Bay. Rodgers and the offense are hot as they win a shootout with veteran QB Rivers.  Win

Week 12: vs. Chicago Bears

A classic rival game as the Bears and Packers go until the final whistle. Slight edge to Green Bay as they move into the top spot in the division. Win

Week 13: vs. Philadelphia Eagles

All good things must come to an end. QB Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense shock the Packers in week 13. Loss

Week 14: @ Detroit Lions

After the upset loss against the Eagles, the Packers bounce back perfectly with sweeping the Lions. Win

Week 15: vs. Carolina Panthers

A game that looks good on paper for the Lions, until the game starts and Derrick Henry runs wild. Loss

Week 16: vs. Tennessee Titans

Green Bay does not have the best rush defense in the league as Derrick Henry reminds them it will lead to their downfall in the playoffs. Loss

Week 17: @ Chicago Bears

Speaking of brooms might as well keep them out as Green Bay walks in Chicago and ruins any type of playoff hopes for the Bears. Win

Taking an early look at the 2020 Green Bay Packers season, I have them finishing with a 10-6 record. In 2019 they finished with a 13-3 record and finished first in the division. In 2020 I expect them to show signs of growth and make the playoffs.
