Orlando Magic ML over Boston Celtics (+410)
This bet is mainly predicated on the injury of Jayson Tatum, who is questionable to play on Wednesday night. Boston’s best player landed on his wrist awkwardly in Game 1 and although he finished the game, you could just see he wasn’t himself, going just 8-for-22 from the field and 1-for-8 from three. Orlando actually led by a point at the half but couldn’t sustain the level of scoring required to beat the defending champions. This time around, I think they learned their lesson. Relying on just Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner on offense isn’t the way to go, so I’d expect other players such as Cole Anthony to get involved.
Anthony scored 26 in the play-in game against Atlanta where he carried the Magic to a blowout win and he averaged 17 points per game in the 3 meetings with Boston, while in the 1 game at TD Garden he finished with 23 points. Boston is once again the overwhelming favorite in Game 2, but whenever you have a player capable of going for 36 points and 11 rebounds on 14-for-27 shooting like Banchero did in Game 1, I wouldn’t count out that team so easily. Orlando won 2 of the 3 regular-season meetings, and I think it’s time for us to see the biggest upset of this season’s playoffs so far.

Kristaps Porzingis 2+ made threes (-245)
Porzingis wasn’t at all involved in the Celtics’ offense in the series opener, finishing with just 5 points on 1-for-8 shooting while also failing to make a three on 2 attempts. That type of effort was very uncharacteristic for a player that went into the postseason knocking down a three in 20 straight games. During this stretch, Porzingis made multiple threes 13 times while shooting over 41% on 2.5 made per game. Things should return to normal in Game 2, especially if Tatum isn’t able to go, which would mean KP gets a few extra shot attempts.
Orlando isn’t exactly the best of teams when it comes to perimeter defense – they rank just 21st in opponent three-point percentage, allowing 36.4%. Over their past 3 games that number is up to 37.8%, while in road games this season they’re at 37.9%, which is the 4th-worst in the NBA and in line with the 76ers and Pelicans. Dating back to his days with the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards, Porzingis has cleared this line in 6 of 10 games against Orlando while shooting almost 41% from three.
