I'm an NFL handicapper here at Pickswise who was raised in a household full of sports fanatics. Since I unfortunately never had LeBron James' jumping ability I wasn't able to make it to the NBA, and chose writing about sports as the next best thing. An avid sports bettor myself, I'm excited to get to write about the industry as it gets set to take off across the country. Buckle up. The 2021 NFL season has been epic so far. And the Week 11 slate has just as much promise. We have an interesting cross-conference showdown here as the Cleveland Browns host the Detroit Lions. What better way to make the starting debut of Tim Boyle even more exciting than by betting a same game parlay? I just hit one of these on the Falcons/Saints game two weeks ago at 13/1, so let’s do it again!

Here we go:

Nick Chubb to score 2+ touchdowns (+390)

Under 42.5 (-110)

Same Game Parlay odds: +1399

We have a simple 2-leg same game parlay which pays out north of 13/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down:

Nick Chubb to score 2+ touchdowns (+390)

To start this same game parlay off I’ve got Chubb finding the endzone twice. For plenty of reasons, Chubb should be in for a big day here. The Browns’ star running back is back in the lineup, but Kareem Hunt won’t be. Cleveland is a massive favorite of nearly two touchdowns, so the Browns should be running the ball a ton. Boyle has never even attempted a regular-season pass, and now he’s going on the road for his first start with very few weapons at his disposal. Cleveland will be looking to kill clock for most of the game, so Chubb’s volume should be off the charts.

Detroit’s defensive front has very little talent, and they don’t have anybody capable of wreaking havoc against this strong Browns offensive line. The last time Chubb played was two weeks ago against the Bengals, and he had 137 yards and two touchdowns. This is a much more favorable matchup for him.

Under 42.5 (-110)

We get a huge odds boost by combining this with the first leg of our same game parlay. But I don’t think it conflicts much. FanDuel’s system is acting like just because a player scores two touchdowns, means that game has to be a shootout. That’s simply not the case with Chubb. If the Browns are running the ball a ton here it means their defense is dominating, which it likely will. Boyle is getting thrown to the wolves here.

His top receiver is Kalif Raymond, and he’s facing a pass-rush featuring Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney. I’d be pretty surprised if the Lions topped 14 points. Quite possibly significantly fewer. So the Browns could score 4+ touchdowns and still easily have this game come in under the total. And with the way the game-script projects, Chubb has a very good chance to score two of those touchdowns.
