Good morning, Pickswise Nation. NFL Week 6 starts tonight and there’s a whole lot of sports going on with MLB, NHL, college football and soccer action also on the schedule today, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

YRFI/NRFI run reaches 11-4
Both the NLDS series are tied at 1-1 after the Braves and Padres bounced back from opening losses to square their series against the Phillies and Dodgers respectively. Pickswise went 2-0 with our Braves ML and Padres +1.5 picks, while our YRFI/NRFI best bet of no first-inning run in Phillies-Braves (there weren’t any in the first 5 innings!) extended our run on that prop to 11-4!

NHL parlay cashes at +596 odds
We had a great Wednesday in the NHL, going 5-1 on ML/PL bets. Our NHL Best Bets maintained their 100% start to the season as Avalanche -1.5 comfortably hit in a 5-2 win over the Blackhawks, taking our record on 3-star plays to 2-0. Our Wednesday NHL parlay also cashed at +596 odds thanks to the Avs, plus wins for the Ducks and Oilers.

Goals flow in the Champions League
Marshall was a double-digit favorite against Louisiana in last night’s CFB game, but lost by double-digits, 23-13, after a second-half slump. Pickswise had a couple of nice soccer wins in the Champions League with Napoli and over 3.5 goals cashing at +202 odds as they beat Ajax 4-2, while Liverpool and both teams to score was also a winner at +133 in the Reds’ 7-1 win over Rangers. We also have soccer picks for today’s top Europa League games.

Best Bet of the Day

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 over Chicago Blackhawks (-105)
10:00 pm ET, ESPN+

No NHL team in the league has been handed a tougher start than the Chicago Blackhawks. They are playing in their second road game in as many nights against a tough Vegas team right after facing defending Stanley Cup champions the Colorado Avalanche. Last night, they took a 5-2 loss and they look set for another tough night. Riding the momentum from a win against a tough LA Kings team, the Golden Knights can take care of business in their home opener. Check out our full Blackhawks vs Golden Knights predictions.
