Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to Wise n’ Shine, your one-stop shop for everything you need to know to bet better today!

What a huge Saturday of sport this is. We’ve got another wild day of college football action, plus MLB, Ryder Cup golf, EPL and MLS soccer, a world heavyweight boxing title fight, and UFC. Let’s get straight to it!

About Last Night

Great golf picks
Our golf guru Ricky Dimon went 3-for-3 with his Ryder Cup day one picks, correctly forecasting that Spanish duo Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia would bring the European team their only points of the morning play. Today’s morning foursomes start out between 8.05 am ET and 8:53 am ET, with Team USA leading 6-2 overall, so be quick to check out his Ryder Cup Day 2 picks.

MLB team stays in form
The MLB season may winding down for some teams, but not for our handicappers. They went 10-4 on the sides and 9-5 on the totals on Friday’s game, landing a Best Bet on the Cardinals money line too. We saw every kind of baseball game yesterday, from the White Sox beating the Indians 1-0 to the Athletics blasting the Astros 14-2. What lies in store today?

CFB underdogs show up on Friday
Underdogs Wake Forest, Syracuse, and UNLV all at least covered in last night’s lively college football games. UNLV was a +2500 underdog against No. 22 Fresno State but led by 12 at one stage and lost just 38-30, while Syracuse (+210) pulled off the money line win over Liberty.

Today’s Slate

College Football Week 4 is underway
The Week 4 Saturday games are kicking off from midday ET right through to 10:30pm ET and we’ve got you covered for it all. Check out our picks on the side and total for all this week’s college football games.

Full slate of MLB games
There are 15 MLB games today, starting with the Cardinals vs Cubs on ESPN+ at 2:20pm ET. The Cardinals are chasing a record-breaking 15th straight win. Check out our picks for all of today’s MLB action here.

And much, much, more!
There’s no NFL today but as well as the Ryder Cup, the other highlights include EPL and MLS soccer, including a major showdown between Chelsea and Manchester City, Joshua vs Usyk for the world heavyweight boxing title, and UFC 266, for which we have a range of best bets and parlays plus advice from guest expert MMAGoneWild (@mmagonewild).

Best Bet of the Day

Kansas State Wildcats +5.5 vs Oklahoma State Cowboys
7pm ET, BIG12N

This one shapes up to be an extremely competitive game that could go down to the wire. The Cowboys are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 regular-season games, and they’ve also failed to cover in their previous 5 at home. The Wildcats have covered in 8 of their previous 12 games overall, and hold a 7-3 record ATS in their last 10 true road games. Kansas State has a solid chance to not only cover, but win this one outright. Read our full preview for this game here.

Must-watch

Our great daily betting show Let’s Bet It featured a guest appearance from Andrew Ortenberg talking NFL Week 3 with regular hosts Jared Smith and Lauren Jbara–you can catch up with that at our YouTube channel at: youtube.com/c/Pickswise. And don’t miss today’s show as the team break down all the day’s best bets.

Must-read

We’re thinking NFL player props already and PropBetGuy and John Hyslop have already picked out the best value for Sunday’s early game and Sunday’s late slate. If you want to try to emulate the bettor who fell just one game short of a clean sweep on last week’s NFL, why not check out our millionaire parlay on the 14 Sunday games? It’s Saturday today, though, so make sure you also stop by to read Ricky Dimon’s CFB Week 4 Best Bets.

Stat of the Day

The Phillies have won 8 of their last 10 games overall and have scored 20 runs across the first 2 games of their series against the Pirates.

Boost of the day

Nick Diaz to win vs Robbie Lawler

FanDuel Sportsbook has given a healthy boost to the odds of Nick Diaz beating Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 tonight, raising the price of the underdog from +128 to +200.
