About Last Night

Bettors who took Over 6.5 goals in Oilers vs Avalanche had a sweat-free night, as that prop cashed early in the second period with the score finishing 8-6 to the Avs in a classic. Luckily we were on the over (and Avalanche -1.5) to secure a successful start to the conference finals!

New York dominates in MLB

Elsewhere, the Pirates beat the Dodgers AGAIN, while the Tigers cruised past the Twins 4-0 to make it 5 wins in 7 for Detroit.

Best Bet of the Day

Houston Astros -1.5 over Oakland Athletics
3:37 pm ET

After winning the first two games of the series over the past few days, the Astros will look to complete the sweep on Wednesday afternoon behind their ace Justin Verlander. After missing the entirety of the 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery, Verlander has gotten off to a scorching hot start in 2022 with a 6-2 record and 2.03 ERA. The Athletics will try to defy the odds and take down the Astros behind lefty Cole Irvin. Irvin has a respectable 3.15 ERA, but he’s due for major regression as evidenced by his xERA of 5.00. This Houston lineup has the type of power to expose Irvin’s struggles, as they present a dangerous threat of batters from both sides of the plate. Read our full game preview for Astros vs Athletics.

Stat of the Day

Igor Shesterkin ranked 2nd in goals saved above expected in the second round of the playoffs, only placing behind Lightning starter Andrei Vasilevskiy. That makes the under an appealing proposition.
