We’ve put together a four-pick cross-sport parlay which will take you right through the day, including action from the NHL, NBA and MLB.

One pick is taken from each sport with a second pick from the MLB. A winning ticket gives us a nice payout with odds at +980 with BetMGM — more than 9/1! Let’s break down each of these four plays. Remember to gamble responsibly.

Best MLB pick: Texas Rangers vs. Colorado Rockies ML (-135), 3:10pm ET

The Rangers will wrap up a bleak nine-game road trip on Thursday against the Rockies — they are 0-8 on that trip thus far. Texas is hitting just .172 in their last six games, the lowest in the league in that span. The Rockies on the other hand, are 18-12 at home this season. Their offense is much more effective at home, hitting .269 in their own ballpark. Given the struggles on the road for Texas, backing Colorado will be our play.

Best NBA pick: Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers over 227.5 (-110), 8:00pm ET

Four of the five games in this series have gone over the total. The Nuggets have shot 46.4 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point land, averaging 119.8 points per game in those five games. Portland has actually been better, shooting 47 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three-point range, scoring 120.4 points per game. Three of their starters played 50-plus minutes on Tuesday, but with them being back home and having the support of their crowd that could go out of the window when the game tips off. Another exciting high-scoring game is surely coming our way, so back the over.

Best NHL pick: Carolina Hurricanes vs. Tampa Bay Lightning ML (-160), 8:08pm ET

The Tampa Bay Lightning took both games in Carolina against the Hurricanes to start their second-round series. Tampa Bay has its powerplay clicking at 36 percent in the playoffs and is getting timely goals from depth players. The Lightning were 21-7 on home ice during the regular season and they have defeated the Hurricanes in six of their ten head-to-head matchups this year. For that reason, we like the Lightning to take a commanding lead.

Best MLB pick: Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox -1.5 (+100), 8:10pm ET

There is no doubting that Casey Mize is the best starter the Tigers have. His last start against the Yankees was very strong, but Chicago has a much better lineup than New York. The White Sox beat him at the end of April but since then he has not given up more than two runs in a start. Starter Lance Lynn has been great for Chicago this season (6-1, 1.87 ERA). Lynn has not faced Detroit yet this season but he is 4-1 against AL Central opponents. The Detroit offense gives us no faith, therefore backing the White Sox on the run line will be our play.
