Both the Bucks and Suns will be playing on 2nd nights of back-to-backs, but I’m more in favor of trusting the road team. Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the lineup with a banger, scoring 46 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in last night’s win over a really tough Sacramento Kings team. The Bucks shot the ball extremely well at 58.1% from the field and also drained 15 threes. It’s hard to find a flaw with this team at the moment; it is strolling through opponents, winning 18 of its last 20 outings. On the other hand, the Suns are on a mini 2-game losing streak following last night’s loss against the Warriors. The defense just wasn’t there from the beginning, as they allowed 75 points in the first 24 minutes and were down by as many as 25 points. Kevin Durant is out and they traded half of their team to get him, so it’s no surprise they are struggling right now. The Bucks are 6-1 SU in the last 7 head-to-head and have also covered in 5 of the last 7 meetings. They have 10 wins in their last 11 road games overall, too.

Tonight’s game has the potential to be a high-scoring one. As I mentioned earlier, both teams are playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back — which often means a lack of concentration on the defensive end of the floor. We also just saw 257 points in Milwaukee’s game against Sacramento and 235 points in the Suns’ game at Golden State. I’m looking for Ayton to assert himself early on Tuesday, he has delivered some really good performances against the Bucks over the years. He has faced them a total 8 times in the regular season so far and he is averaging 21.5 points per game. He has successfully cleared this line twice in the last 3 meetings, so he clearly likes playing against them. Trading for Durant has decimated the depth of the Suns, they now only have Ayton and Booker as their 2 primary scoring options until KD comes back. The big man just had 27 in the loss against the Warriors, which was his 2nd game of 20 or more points. Brook Lopez does have the size and weight advantage over him, but he won’t be able to keep up with the speed and agility of Ayton. If Domantas Sabonis was able to score 23 on the Bucks last night, I’m Ayton can up that number to 25.
