Villanova, Kansas, North Carolina, Duke. The winner of the 2022 NCAA Tournament is right there but we have to wait until Saturday for the Final Four games! While college basketball takes a break, there’s still plenty of great sports coming our way on Monday, with the NBA and NHL in action. Let’s get straight into making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Underdogs fail to fire on Sunday
Upset hunters were disappointed in Sunday’s final Elite Eight games at the NCAA Tournament, as the bold runs of #10 Miami and #15 Saint Peter’s both came to an end. Kansas beat Miami 76-50, while North Carolina overcame the Peacocks 69-49. FanDuel Sportsbook has Duke at +160 odds to win the tournament now, with Kansas at +180, Villanova +450 and North Carolina +500. Read what Andrew Ortenberg makes of the opening lines for the Final Four here.

NBA parlay cashes for the 3rd time in 4 days!
The Pickswise NBA team are on a heater right now. Our handicappers went 6-1 on the sides on Sunday’s games, taking our record since last Thursday to an amazing 21-6! We also cashed our NBA parlay for the 3rd time in 4 days with a +596 odds combo of over 222 in Warriors vs Wizards, plus Suns -5 and Mavericks -3. The Suns beat the 76ers by 10 points and are +300 odds with FanDuel to be champions this year.

Penguins go goal crazy
It was not a quiet Sunday in the NHL, as the Pittsburgh Penguins went goal crazy, beating the Red Wings 11-2! The Wild beat the Avalanche 3-2 in OT, while the Maple Leafs saw off the Panthers 5-2. Mark Lammey had a great day on NHL player props, with 2 plus-money winners.

Big wins in golf and auto racing!
Our picks in other sports were also well worth tailing this weekend, headed by Ricky Dimon’s 17/1 win on Scottie Scheffler in golf’s WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play! Meanwhile, car racing expert Matt Selz was cashing winners all over the place in his NASCAR and F1 previews, including 25/1 Echo Park Grand Prix winner Ross Chastain and Nicholas Latifi to be the first driver to retire from the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at +1400!

Today’s Slate

9-game slate in the NBA
The NBA takes center stage again today, as the college teams take a deserved break. The 9-game slate includes NBA TV showing the Warriors vs Grizzlies game at 8:00 pm ET. Read our picks for all of today’s basketball.

Hurricanes vs Capitals on NHL Network
There are just 5 NHL games today, but the action starts with a good one as the Hurricanes play the Capitals on NHL Network at 7:00 pm ET. Check out our previews of today’s NHL games.

Best Bet of the Day

San Antonio Spurs -6.5 vs Houston Rockets
8:30 pm ET

With the play-in tournament still a possibility, this game is a must-win for the Spurs, who have won 3 in a row and 4 of the last 5. They are 2-1 against Houston this season and should make it 3-1 tonight. Houston has won 3 of its last 4, but the Rockets are still giving up the most points in the league. It hasn’t happened often, but being a road favorite has been a good spot to back the Spurs this season. They are 5-3 SU in that role and 4-3-1 ATS, including the last time they played at Houston when they were -4.5 at the Toyota Center in January. Amazingly, 8 players scored in double figures for San Antonio in that one and there is no reason to think the Rockets have bridged the gap. Check out our full preview of Spurs vs Rockets.
