With most of the offseason moves in the rearview mirror, it’s time to discuss our favorite bets for the Offensive Player of the Year award. This is a market with a few short favorites, before things really open up down the board, which makes looking into a longshot an attractive option. Who will be the NFL OPOY in 2026? In recent NFL history, the Offensive Player of the Year award is one that has been controlled by running backs and wide receivers. In fact, since 1967 (the inaugural year of this award), quarterbacks have won this award 21 times, but they have only won it twice in the last decade. With that in mind, it makes complete sense that the top running backs and wideouts in the sport are dominating the top of the odds board in this market. All of these players in the 25-1 range or shorter are worthy of a look in this market, but there are a few key standouts that have grabbed my attention. Let's get into my best bet and a longshot prediction for the Offensive Player of the Year award.

NFL Offensive Player of the Year best bet: Ja'Marr Chase (+1000)

There is a lot of hype and noise around the Bengals heading into this season, and if Cincinnati is going to live up to these lofty expectations, it's going to start with a bounce-back season from this offense. Much has been made of the very successful connection between Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase over their last 5 seasons in Cincinnati, and that partnership should continue to flourish against a favorable schedule that features a number of questionable pass defenses to say the least.

As long as we get a full healthy season from Burrow, Chase should post a season similar to what we saw in 2024 — in which the former LSU product finished with over 1,700 receiving yards and a whopping 17 touchdowns. Look for one of the best wideouts in the game to re-establish himself as a force this fall, and I'll take a shot at this number.

NFL Offensive Player of the Year longshot pick: Derrick Henry (+2200)

Of all of the longshots in this market, I’m a bit surprised that Derrick Henry isn’t getting more love from oddsmakers here. For starters, the Ravens are expected to be among the best teams in football, and the schedule certainly presents the Baltimore offense with a chance to put up some big numbers this season. That's where Henry comes in, especially in an offense where running the ball is the primary focus. Even in what was considered a down year a season ago, Henry racked up nearly 1,600 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. With that in mind, the workhorse running back should see another heavy workload in this upcoming season, and he can also be counted on as a very reliable presence in the red zone. Look for Henry to put up very impressive counting stats as part of a team that should win double-digit games. I'll roll the dice at this price.
