The Phoenix Suns have an opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the 2nd year running as they head to Dallas for Game 6 holding a 3-2 lead in the series. Catch the game live on ESPN from 9:30 pm ET. I’ve also prepared a same game parlay which is available below.

We also have predictions on the side and total for Game 6 of the Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers series, don’t forget to check them out.

Let’s get into it!

Phoenix Suns -5.5 alternate spread (+150)

Chris Paul to score 20+ points (+240)

Luka Doncic to score 30+ points (-280)

Parlay odds: +1049

Phoenix Suns -5.5 alternate spread (+150) over Dallas Mavericks

The Suns gave the Mavs all they could handle in Game 5 and ended up winning by 30 points. Devin Booker dropped 29, while Deandre Ayton added 20 in what was a well balanced team effort, especially on defense. Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson were the only 2 players who made shots, while Phoenix made an effort to shut everyone else down. That will likely be the plan going into tonight’s game, as it looks like the Suns thrive the most when they allow Luka to have his way, but pressure his teammates into taking bad shots.

Phoenix has covered the spread in 5 of their last 7 games and against the Mavs they are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 head-to-head. They played poorly in their last 2 trips to Dallas, but I’m expecting a totally different approach tonight.

Chris Paul to score 20+ points (+240)

It hasn’t been the best of series for Chris Paul in terms of scoring the basketball, but in situations like these he tends to remind us that even though he just turned 37, he can still fill it up like the best of them. In the closing game of the first round against the New Orleans Pelicans, he played a perfect game scoring 33 points and making all of his 14 field goal and 4 free throw attempts while also dishing out 8 assists. Although I doubt we’ll see a performance like that again tonight (or will we?), I think CP3 has enough tricks in his bag to carry the Suns to the Western Conference finals. He did have 19 and 28 points in the first 2 games of this series, so it’s time for another one of those vintage Chris Paul games.

Luka Doncic to score 30+ points (-280)

Although the odds aren’t all that enticing for this particular bet, I think Doncic getting to 30 points is a given in tonight’s game. If the Mavs are going to go out, you just know Doncic will give his best effort right until the very end. So far during this postseason run, he is averaging 30.9 points per game and in this series he is at 32 per game. He’s coming off a 28-point performance on the road and the only reason he didn’t get to 30 is because his team was getting blown out and he sat on the bench for the majority of the 4th quarter.

I expect the Suns to let Luka go off once again, but concentrate on shutting down his teammates. That’s been a proven recipe in all 3 wins so far in this series, so it wouldn’t make much sense for Suns head coach Monty Williams to change things up here.
