Welcome to another wonderful week of sports. We hope some of you followed the advice of our golf analyst Diane Knox Balas and backed Matthew Fitzpatrick at +3000 to win the U.S. Open! As for this week’s action, the Stanley Cup Finals continue tonight and there are going to be great MLB slates every day, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Guardians take down Dodgers
Before the tense finish to the U.S. Open at Brookline, there was plenty of drama on the baseball diamonds too, with the Nationals avoiding a 5-game sweep by the Phillies with a 9-3 win, while Jack Suwinski hit 3 home runs as the Pirates beat the Giants 4-3. The Guardians claimed a series win over the Dodgers with a 5-3 road win, while the Blue Jays came back from 8-3 behind to beat the Yankees 10-9.

Today’s Slate

Lightning need to strike at home
It looks like a must-win game for NHL champions Tampa Bay as they head into Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals trailing a rampant Colorado Avalanche team 2-0. The Lightning are at home tonight (8:00pm ET, ABC) as they look to turn things around. Check out our full Game 3 preview.

9 MLB games on the schedule
There are 9 games on the MLB slate today, starting with Marlins vs Mets at 1:10 pm ET on ESPN+.  Cardinals vs Brewers is on FS1 at 8:10 pm ET and there’s another big game in Florida tonight as the Yankees visit the Rays (7:10pm ET). Read our preview of all today’s baseball games.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Los Angeles Angels -1.5 vs Kansas City Royals
9:38 pm ET

The Kansas City Royals come into this series having played mediocre baseball of late, but the Angels’ struggles seem to have subsided and they have won 4 of their last 5 games. Left-hander Kris Bubic has been disappointing for the Royals, going 0-4 in 8 starts with an 8.36 ERA. Noah Syndergaard’s numbers for the Angels are much better, going 4-5 in 10 starts with a 3.53 ERA. In June he has been amazing, with a 1.69 ERA and a WHIP of 1.03. With little confidence in Bubic keeping his team in the game, take the Angels’-1.5 run line. Check out our full preview of Royals vs Angels.
