The Champions League continues on Wednesday with two more first-leg games in the round-of-16. EPL team Chelsea travels to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund, while Benfica is in Belgium to play Club Brugge.

Borussia Dortmund vs Chelsea best bet: Borussia Dortmund ML (+145)
Chelsea has looked disjointed in recent weeks and faces a tough test in this Champions League round-of-16 matchup against a Dortmund team that has been rock-solid at home this season. BVB has lost just one of its 12 home games in all competitions, including ties with Manchester City and Bayern Munich. The German team has scored 26 times in those games and recorded 7 shutouts, which is more impressive when considering the high-scoring nature of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund really hit the ground running after the World Cup break and looks a much more cohesive proposition at the moment than the Blues. I’m taking the home team to win this first leg.

Club Brugge vs Benfica best bet: Benfica ML (-120)
Benfica has been one of the in-form teams in Europe this season and is fancied to win again when facing Brugge in this Champions League round-of-16 tie. The Portuguese league leaders are unbeaten in 10 Champions League games this season, including beating Juventus home and away and drawing with Paris Saint-Germain twice.
Belgian team Club Brugge has been in poor form, winning just 1 of its last 11 games in all competitions. Benfica should be too strong for the home underdogs and could record a comfortable success.
