The primetime games just seem to get better week over week. In Week 9, Thursday Night Football will see Tennessee QB Will Levis get a second start following an impressive performance against Atlanta last week. He will be traveling to Pittsburgh to take on Kenny Pickett and the Steelers (-3).

Pittsburgh has won 2 of its last 3 and went toe-to-toe with Jacksonville before losing 20-10. I actually lean toward Tennessee getting the points, as this team appears to be rejuvenated on offense with Levis being able to flick the ball 50 yards at will. Steelers DT Cam Heyward is returning this week after being activated from IR to start his second game of the season. That should greatly improve the Steelers’ run defense. You can read our full Titans vs Steelers predictions for picks on the side and total, but for now, let’s dive into my favorite NFL prop bets for this TNF matchup.

Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, TEN Over 23.5 receiving yards (-114)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing

Last week with Levis under center, Okonkwo had 26 receiving yards but missed hauling in a deep ball that would have gone for 20+ yards. Also, the Falcons’ defense did a fantastic job of eliminating TE screens that have been so successful for Okonkwo early in his career. With Minkah Fitzpatrick out, I expect the Steelers’ defense to scramble in trying to defend DeAndre Hopkins and that will leave Okonkwo open underneath. His 6 targets were second on the team to only Hopkins; I’m expecting him to build on that in Week 9. 2U.

Kenny Pickett, QB, PIT Under 33.5 pass attempts (-130)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Pickett exited the first half of the Jaguars game last week with a rib injury, but is clear to play this Thursday. I was stunned to see his pass-attempts number this high considering he has only surpassed it once and it was Week 1 in the San Francisco blowout. The Titans’ secondary has admittedly one of the worst in the league and part of that can be attributed to how stale the offense has been…until last week. Levis managed to hold the ball for 32:59, which is a full 3.5 minutes more than their season average and would be a massive leap above their 26:31 on the road. This type of time on the sidelines can keep the defense fresh and better positioned to make plays. For Pickett, it would keep him on the sidelines for longer than usual. The game total is set at 36.5, so I’m expecting a snooze-fest. 1U.
