Let’s take a look at the new KBO Power Rankings of the ten teams below.

1. NC Dinos (8-1)

The cream of the crop right now. The second youngest team in the KBO might have finally hit their stride as they have the best record in the league and have been crushing the ball with ease. As of May 15, they are currently rocking a four-game winning streak and should be looking there already the second sweep of the season. The Dinos are currently led by Na Sung-bum who is eying the league title for most home runs.

2. Kiwoom Heroes (6-3)

The Heroes nearly took the whole league in 2019, as they are looking for revenge in 2020. This is another young KBO team that has been in the league for a little of ten years and has not disappointed. After losing two of the past three games, the Heroes are looking to jump back in the win column against the LG Twins.

3. Lotte Giants (6-3)

Speaking of former MLB players above, let’s introduce pitcher Dan Straily who is dominating the KBO so far. He has the best starting ERA with 1.42 and has the support system of both Lee Dae-ho and Son Ah-Seop on the offensive side to continue to get wins. Watch out for those Giants.

4. LG Twins (5-3)

One of the hottest teams as of recent days, the LG Twins are looking to continue their impressive four-game winning streak. The Lotte Giants might have star pitcher Straily, but the Twins have strikeout machine Cha Woo-Chan who has 15 strikeouts to his name.

5. Doosan Bears (6-3)

The top five are complete with the Doosan Bears. The Bears have one of the best offenses in the league as they are averaging 8 runs per game and lead the KBO in runs, hits, and home runs. In the past four games alone, they have scored an average of 10 runs per game.

6. Kia Tigers (4-6)

The bottom half of the standings start with the Kia Tigers as they have had some promising games, but struggle with staying consistent. Luckily, pitcher, Aaron Brooks has shown his worth with his 1.42 ERA. Unfortunately, he cannot pitch every game.

7. Hanwha Eagles (4-6)

Just like the Kia Tigers, they are winning games when pitcher Kim Ee-Whan is on the mound as he holds an impressive 1.63 ERA. Taking down the Lotte Giants is no joke, let’s see if they can climb to the top soon.

8. Samsung Lions (4-6)

Losing the first three games was not the best start for the Lions. They have been on and off since as they are still looking for one-hitter to climb into the top 15 in batting average in the league.

9. KT Wiz (2-7)

The bullpen has been a huge problem for the Wiz. KT started the season losing seven of the first eight games, and allowed an average of 8.5 runs per game.

10. SK Wyverns (1-8)

Yikes. The only win under the belt for the Wyverns came on day 2 of the regular season. They are currently riding a seven-game losing streak and hold a -30 run differential in the league.
