NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Top Picks for Sunday's Games

The 2026 NFL season is fully underway now as we moved on to Week 2 on September 20, and if Week 1 was anything to go by, we're going to be in for one heck of a season. Week 1 saw a record number of points scored, and after the Lions and Bills contested a 41-31 shootout, there are no signs of offenses slowing down. We have 14 games to look forward to on Sunday, and it's time to lock in with our experts' NFL best bets for Week 2 and their top NFL picks for Sunday. NFL Week 2 Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -7 over Tennessee Titans (-110)

The Tennessee Titans will be trying to prove that they are something other than the worst team in the entire NFL when they host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon. Tennessee opened with a terrible 23-10 home loss to the Jets in Week 1. New head coach Robert Saleh has to be hoping that former #1 overall Cam Ward takes the next step in year two, but early returns are far from encouraging. Ward completed just 19 of 32 attempts for 140 yards in the season opener. That is part of the reason why my Eagles vs Titans prediction is for the visitors to win and cover.

Philadelphia was nothing special last weekend during a 24-22 victory over Washington, but any win in the NFC East is a good one. The Eagles really should have won more comfortably, averaging 6.0 yards per play to the Commanders' 4.4. Left guard Landon Dickerson (knee) has been placed on injured reserve, but head coach Nick Sirianni's squad is otherwise in good shape from a physical standpoint. The bottom line is that Tennessee stinks, so an opponent of Philly's caliber should be able to prevail by at least a touchdown.

NFL Week 2 Best Bet: Dallas Cowboys -4 over Washington Commanders (-102)

Dak's attack is just so much different at home than it is on the road. AT&T Stadium is longer than the Empire State Building is tall, from side to side, and I’m sure it’s hard to duplicate the energy that must come from tens of thousands of fans screaming in support. Dak averages nearly 30 more passing yards per game and owns a passer rating over 10 points higher at AT&T Stadium. His receivers seem to prefer it there, too. CeeDee Lamb, for example, averaged 119.4 yards per game at home in 2024, while his 13.6 yards per reception in Dallas was 3.1 yards higher than his success on the road in 2025. George Pickens averaged 95 yards per home game last year versus 74.3 on the road, too. I think it’s fair to say that they are better at home, and that it will make a difference when the Commanders come to Dallas on Sunday.

Washington showed plenty of resilience in its comeback effort against the Eagles, rallying in the fourth quarter and coming within a failed two-point conversion of tying the game seconds before the clock ran out. That performance demonstrated Jayden Daniels' ability to fight until the very end and to stay competitive overall, but he’ll likely see more of the same frustration in Dallas. 

Both teams were let down by their defenses in Week 1, with each unit struggling to get key stops and allowing their opponents to move the ball too easily. Still, both defenses have the talent to respond this Sunday, with the Cowboys likely having the edge as the home team, even with the injuries to Hooker and Overshown. I think we see a complete bounce-back from Dallas and I see them winning by at least a touchdown.

NFL Week 2 Best Bet: Cleveland Browns +8.5 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-108)

Cleveland makes its second straight trip to the Sunshine State following last Sunday’s embarrassing 34-10 setback at Jacksonville. The Browns trailed 24-0 at halftime and QB Deshaun Watson posted one of the worst EPA/dropbacks in Week 1 at -0.21.

Watson is starting again this week against a Tampa Bay squad that turned the ball over four times in last week's 33-27 setback at Cincinnati. Bucs QB Baker Mayfield was efficient by finishing 23-of-28 for 216 yards, but failed to throw a TD pass and lost a fumble that resulted in a Bengals defensive score. Mayfield posted the sixth-lowest EPA of any QB in Week 1 at -8.0, while Watson actually finished at -1.4.

Tampa Bay looks to snap a 10-game ATS slide, which dates back to Week 10 of last season. The Bucs have won two of their last 10 games, with both victories coming by two against Carolina and three against Arizona.

Cleveland closed last season 5-2 ATS in its final seven underdog opportunities before getting routed at Jacksonville. The Browns were the best team in 2025 at limiting opposing wide receivers' yardage at 1,862. Mayfield faces the team that drafted him for the first time since 2022 as a member of the Panthers.

Cleveland posted a humiliating effort in Week 1, while Tampa Bay dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of. In this spot, the public will be all over the Bucs to bounce back, but let’s go with the Browns here getting a shade over a touchdown on the road.

NFL Week 2 Best Bet: New York Giants vs LA Rams Over 48 (-105)

This total can go two ways, but the market is telling us its expectations in the number itself. We would understand if this number was 47 or even 46.5. After all, the Giants’ game-plan is clear – run it down their enemy’s throats, control the clock, and prevent their foes from possessing the ball (Dallas only had it twice in the second half of SNF). And it’s not like the Rams’ offense showed an inkling of its potential last Wednesday.

In perhaps the most surprising result of Week 1, the Rams’ offense looked clumsy and anemic in Melbourne. Gaining just 15 first downs and averaging just 5.1 yards per play, much like the Cowboys they were also controlled by their opponents. In fact, the stats of the winners are similar (San Francisco ran for 174 yards and held the ball for 33:50, NYG ran for 176 and held it for 36:40). The Rams also went a putrid 2-of-9 from third down and turned it over twice. In any case, LAR didn’t exactly bestow confidence that their offense is ready to show its best form in game two.

The Giants were also impressive defensively, against a projected top-10 offense.

Still, this remains a high total at 48, one that eclipses many key numbers (38, 40, 41, 46, and 47, to be exact). Why is that?

That’s because the Rams, who are assertive -7 to -7.5 home favorites, are expected to control the pace of this battle, not the Giants. By no means are we saying the Giants are a one-hit wonder. The G-Men showed plenty of reasons for their fans to get excited, including on defense, where they shut down George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb (28 and 44 yards, respectively).

But it’s the Rams who will come out with vengeance after such a poor performance 10 days prior. And the way the Rams run business is diametrically opposite of New York: they’re built on explosive plays.

The Giants’ defense looked better, but they don’t know the Rams like the 49ers do. Nor does John Harbaugh, who only faced the Rams once every four years in Baltimore. We like Los Angeles to score immediately, which means the Giants will be chasing. If New York can get to 20, and we think they will, this should soar over 50.
